韓國濟州島四面環海，漁業發達，因此，濟州島決定應將RFID/Sensor應用於漁業的管理上。目前濟州島有三個u-Fishfarm示範魚場，示範漁場的建置經費完全由政府補助(屬於RFID/WSN計畫下之示範性應用計畫)，目前濟州道政府投入約2億韓元（約800萬新台幣），該系統於2006年12月建置完成，目前為測試階段。
